How much copper piping will my installation need?

It depends on the distance between the indoor and outdoor positions and the route available. The requirement is assessed at the site before work begins.

Can the outdoor unit go on a balcony or in a duct?

It can, provided there is enough clearance around it for air to enter and leave. A completely enclosed space traps hot air and reduces cooling.

What electrical supply does a split AC need?

A dedicated point with wiring and protection suited to the unit's rating. Running an AC from a shared socket or a light circuit is a common cause of tripping and overheating.

How long does an installation take?

A straightforward single-unit installation is usually completed in one visit. Long pipe runs, core drilling through thick walls or difficult outdoor access take longer.

Do you also remove an old unit at the same time?

Yes, uninstallation can be combined with a new installation at the same premises — mention it when you call so it can be planned in.

AC Installation in Vadodara

How an air conditioner is installed decides how well it cools and how long it lasts. Indoor unit height and position, outdoor unit clearance, copper line length and routing, the slope of the drain pipe and the quality of the electrical connection all affect performance from day one. Fortune Aircons carries out AC installation for homes and businesses across Vadodara.

Installation is also where avoidable long-term faults are created. A drain pipe run without fall leads to water dripping into the room within weeks. An outdoor unit boxed into a tight duct recirculates its own hot air and pushes up running current. A poorly flared joint leaks refrigerant slowly until cooling drops off. Getting these details right at the start avoids repeat service calls later.

Common AC Problems

Symptoms that typically bring customers to this service.

Indoor unit placed poorly

Air blowing straight into a wall, curtain or cupboard prevents proper circulation, so the room cools unevenly.

Outdoor unit with no clearance

A condenser squeezed into a narrow duct or shaded box cannot reject heat, which reduces cooling and raises current draw.

Drain pipe without slope

A drain run flat or rising along its length holds water and eventually overflows into the room.

Weak or unsuitable power supply

Undersized wiring, a shared socket or a missing dedicated MCB causes tripping and heats the connection points.

Excess or badly bent copper piping

Long unplanned runs and sharp bends restrict refrigerant flow and reduce the cooling the unit can deliver.

Leaking flare joints

Poorly made joints lose refrigerant gradually, so cooling fades weeks after a new installation.

Our AC Installation Process

Site assessment

We look at the room, wall condition, available power point and where the outdoor unit can sit with proper airflow.

Position finalised with you

Indoor and outdoor positions, pipe routing and drain path are agreed before drilling begins.

Mounting and piping

Bracket and plate are fixed level, copper lines are cut and flared to length, and the drain is run with fall.

Electrical connection

The unit is connected to a suitable supply point with the correct protection, not an improvised extension.

Vacuum, charge check and test run

The system is evacuated, joints are checked, and the unit is run to confirm cooling, drainage and current draw.

Coverage by AC Type and Premises

Split AC installation
